LCC TAKES OVER UTH BUS STATION

Written by on May 27, 2020

The Lusaka City Council has resolved to take over the management of the University Teaching Hospital bus station that is currently manned by PF cadres.

Speaking during a full council meeting, Lusaka City Council   Community Development and Social Services Committee Chairperson Patrick Salubusa said the council has not been benefiting from the bus station as the cadres have been pocketing the revenue.

Mr. Salubusa said there is need to restore sanity at bus stations and the money realized from the station will be used prudently.

And speaking at the same event, Lusaka Deputy Mayor Christopher Shakafuswa said the council has resolved to name some roads in Lusaka after former first ladies and other public figures.
