Mines and Minerals Development Minister urges parliament to ignore claims that ZCCM-IH cannot run MCM

Mines and Minerals Development Minister, Richard Musukwa says claims that Zambian cannot run mines are an insult on the intelligence of the Zambian people.
Mr Musukwa says a lot of Zambian mining experts are running international mines and the time has come for them to utilise their expertise locally. Issuing a ministerial statement in Parliament this afternoon, Mr Musukwa said claims by some stakeholders that ZCCM Investment Holdings has no capacity to run the mines should be ignored.
Mr Musukwa says government will ensure that there is an immediate turnaround effect at Mopani Copper Mines by ensuring that all the mining operations begin to maximize on production.
