Written by on May 26, 2021

President Edgar Lungu has directed the Zambia Police Service and the Ministry of Health to enforce COVID-19 prevention measures without fear or favour of any politicians.

The Head of State has also endorsed PF Secretary General, Davies Mwila’s decision to ban the holding of PF campaign rallies due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Speaking at the official launch of the Patriotic Front’s 2021 national campaign for the 12th August general elections, President Lungu called on all politicians to conduct issue-based campaigns saying he himself will not engage in character assassination, name calling or mudslinging because Zambians are yearning for issue-based campaigns.

President Lungu said the PF campaigns are different from other political parties because the party will merely be showing what it has done whilst in government such as construction of infrastructure among others.

Patriotic Front National Chairperson, Samuel Mukupa has directed all aspiring candidates and party members to go flat out and campaign for President Lungu and his running mate, Professor Nkandu Luo.
