The Ministry of Health has trashed a media statement circulating on social media alleging that Lusaka City will go under total lock down if COVID-19 cases escalate.
Head of media relations Stanslous Ngosa says in a statement that the public should treat the said statement as false. He said Government through the Ministry of Health has a well defined and established way of communicating policy statements.
“We urge the public to treat the story circulating on social media, purporting to quote the Minister of Health Hon. Dr. Chitalu Chilufya, as having said that Lusaka City would go under total lock down if Covid-19 cases escalated as fake news.
