ZAMBIA RECORDS HIGH NUMBER OF COVID-19 RECOVERIES

105 COVID-19 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours, the highest number of discharges Zambia has recorded in a single day since the pandemic broke out in March.
This has brought the total number of recoveries to 302, according to Zambia National Public Health Institute Director, Professor Victor Mukonka.
Updating the nation on COVID-19, Professor Mukonka said 94 of the discharges are from Muchinga Province, seven from Kabwe, three from Solwezi and one from Lusaka.
Meanwhile, Professor Mukonka says the country has in the last 24 hours recorded 34 new coronavirus cases after conducting 418 tests, bringing the cumulative number of cases to 866.
Professor Mukonka says majority of the cases are coming from the Nakonde District in Muchinga province while others are from Lusaka detected through mass and routine health screening.
