Zambia’s total Covid-19 deaths now at 42

Zambia has recorded 18 new COVID 19 deaths in the last 11days since the last public update, bringing the cumulative number to 42.
Speaking during the routine Covid 19 update, Health Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya said of the 18 COVID-19 related deaths 14 were brought in dead and 4 at the facility bringing the total number of deaths to 42.
And Dr. Chilufya announced that the country has recorded 324 new coronavirus cases bringing the cumulative number to 1,895 while 153 people have recovered bringing the total number to 1,412.
He further disclosed that 31deaths were recorded in Lusaka, 3 in Mongu, 5 in Ndola,2 in Kitwe, and 1 in Kafue.
Dr. Chilufya says Lusaka is once again a Covid-19 hotspot and has advised people not to relent in adhering to the preventive measures.
