A Lusaka based Gynecologist Dr. Christopher Mazimba has warned women in the habit of inserting products in their private parts for sexual purposes of serious potential health complications.
Dr Mazimba has warned that using untested medicines and herbs such as the infamous bedroom sweets, snuff commonly known as nsunko and ice cubes among others may lead to serious health complications.
Dr Mazimba says the tightening of private parts by women to enhance sexual drive heightens the risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections such as HIV.
He told Capital FM News in an interview that traditional and cultural norms have contributed to such practices among women, and called for enhanced sensitization to end such practices.
