Rising Covid-19 mortality rate delays reopening of Ridgeway Campus

The University of Zambia Management has delayed the reopening of the School of Medicine at Ridgeway Campus by two weeks due to the rising COVID-19 mortality rate.
The decision has been arrived at following President, Edgar Lungu’s guidance that the reopening of schools should be delayed by two weeks.
University of Zambia Spokesperson, Dr. Brenda Bukowa said this decision will be reviewed in due course as Management of the University of Zambia monitors the COVID-19 situation in the country.
She said the School of Medicine at Ridgeway Campus was scheduled to open today but will now open on 1st February, 2021.
