Written by on April 21, 2021

Bars and Night Clubs owners Association of Zambia says it intends on engaging the government on the need for its members to return to normal operations.

The Associations’ General Secretary, Edmond Lifwekelo says with the Coronavirus pandemic is seemingly not going away any time soon and that Bars and Night Clubs should be allowed to return to normal operations to enable them resuscitate their businesses. Mr. Lifwekelo said it would be unfair for government to continue subjecting Bars and Night Clubs owners to restrictions when other sectors are operating normally.

Mr. Lifwekelo is disappointed that government has not responded to the calls to come up with a relief package for bars and night clubs in order to help them revive their businesses despite being among the most affected businesses by COVID-19.
