Zambia has recorded four new cases of the dreaded Corona virus, bringing the total number of cases to sixteen, authorities have revealed.
Of the four new cases, three involved individuals who recently traveled to Pakistan according to Health Minister Dr Chitalu Chilufya.
Dr Chilufya adds that one case involves a Zambian National of Luanshya District on the Copperbelt Province who was on board a flight from Dubai, but interacted with an individual who had travelled to Pakistan.
Addressing the media today, Dr Chilufya says Ministry of Health Officials are following up on individual patients to check on their conditions, noting that Zambia has not recorded any death.
And Dr. Chilufya has revealed that so far, three patients out of those who were quarantined at Levy Mwanawasa Teaching Hospital have been discharged and another eight who were in isolation at Tubalange hospital in Chilanga District have also been discharged.
