The Department of Immigration has revoked six Employment Permits, three of them held by Chinese nationals, two by Egyptians and one by an Indian.

This follows the conclusion of investigations into the cases and this brings the total number of employment permits revoked to 27 in less than two weeks between 6th and 19th June, 2020.

The Department Public Relations Officer Namati Nshinka said among the permits revoked was that of Peipei Liu 27, a female Chinese national employed as a Quality Controller at Lan Tian Restaurant located within Lusaka.

Mr Nshinka said the Department has intensified scrutiny of application for permits and will continue carrying out random business inspections across the country to ensure that all holders of various permits are complying with the law.
