the year on year inflation of all items for the month of June 2020 decreased to 15.9 percent from 16.6 percent, according to the Zambia Statistics Agency.

Speaking during the presentation of the monthly bulletin for the month of June, Interim Statistician General Mulenga Musepa says the decrease in the annual rate of inflation was attributed to price decreases in food items.

Mr Musepa said this is an indication that on average, prices of goods and services increased by 15.9 percent between June 2019 and June 2020

Meanwhile, the Interim Statistician-General says mapping and listing in the last 4 provinces namely Copperbelt, Southern, Northern and Muchinga is expected to commence on 29th June 2020 for a period of one`month.
