NDC Leader Chishimba Kambwili has demanded that President Edgar Lungu constitutes of a commission of inquiry to ascertain if COVID-19 really exists in Zambia.
And Mr. Kambwili has taken a swipe at President Edgar Lungu for abrogating COVID-19 restrictions when he recently toured North Western Province on a 3-day working visit.
Speaking on the NDC Facebook page, Mr. Kambwili said the behavior of the Head of State to meet party members who never observed social distance measures in North Province does not inspire confidence in the Zambians of the President’s will to fight COVID-19.
Mr. Kambwili said he is convinced that all the figures that have been given on COVID-19 are fake, saying this has been evidenced by the PF’s continued hosting of party activities in total disregard of the health measures aimed at preventing the further spread of the disease.
And Mr. Kambwili has demanded that the President immediately opens up all sectors of the economy including churches.
Mr. Kambwili has also questioned why Cabinet Minister who have tested positive for COVID-19 have been quarantined in their homes and not isolation centres.
The NDC leader has since alleged that the President is being unfair on the citizens by limiting people’s movement while his actions speak otherwise.
