The New Hope MMD has demanded that President Edgar Lungu avails the nation, the findings of the report submitted to him by the Inspector General of Police, Kakoma Kanganja over the killing of two citizens last month.
Party Spokesperson Dr Cephas Mukuka says the same measure used when President Lungu publicly requested for a report should be used to announce the content of the report. Dr Mukuka says the President should show transparency and accountability by revealing to the nation what police findings were on the killings.
Inspector General of Police Kakoma Kanganja yesterday submitted a full report to President Lungu on the murder of Public Prosecutor Nsama Nsama and a UPND sympathizer, Joseph Kaunda. The report has since been handed over to the Director of Public Prosecution for attention.
In a separate interview, GEARS Initiative Zambia Executive Director McDonald Chipenzi , also said availing the report to the public would demystify circumstances that led to the killings.
