President Edgar Lungu has launched the Patriotic Front’s 2021-2026 Manifesto and has directed the party’s Secretary General, Davies Mwila to distribute the document to all aspiring candidates so that they familiarize themselves with it ahead of the August 12th polls.
President Lungu says Government will create a stabilization fund to cushion the country’s challenges and work towards eliminating road taxes in light of the road tolling programme being implemented across the country. President Lungu said his government would roll out affordable loans to Zambians, recapitalize local banks to build capacity, reduce interest rates and consolidate taxes into single tax paid by companies.
The Head of State further said the new manifesto seeks to create a new covenant with Zambians as a tested and experienced party whose focus is to make every Zambian’s life better. He added that the challenges affecting key economic sectors are not limited to Zambia alone as they have been compounded by the COVID-19 pandemic thereby affecting job creation and raising the cost of essential commodities.
And Patriotic Front Secretary General, Davies Mwila said the new manifesto gives an account of all the key policies that the PF initiated and implemented since forming Government in 2011.
