Caritas Chipata has described as morally wrong remarks by Vice President Inonge Wina that she will not retire from active politics next year.

Mrs. Wina, 78, last week indicated that she is still energetic and is willing to be running mate to President Lungu in the 2021 polls.

In an interview with Capital FM, Caritas Chipata Coordinator John Zulu, says while Mrs. Wina has the democratic right to contest, there is need for to pave way for the younger generation to take up leadership positions.

Mr. Zulu has advised Mrs. Wina to take route of other freedom fighters who have become advisors and unlike being in active politics.

And Civil Rights Activist Brebner Changala is shocked that Mrs. Wina intends to stand as running mate to President Edgar Lungu in the 2021 general elections.
